Reading for my classmates: Building a Restless World by Gillian Rose

(expand to zoom and read)

In response to Gillian Rose’s essay: Building a Restless World

Architecture as an Intervention:

In what territories are we designing, and how do these territories overlap with surrounding territories? What are the circumstances embedded within the territory? From culture, ecology, and… how do we translate these circumstances into issues in which we will address architecturally? These issues do not exist in isolation, but rather overlap, they are connected. What existing relationships can we define between them and what interaction do we wish to create/stimulate (think flows in the reading)?
